This is a reminder of the training classes that the Instructional Advancement Center’s team are offering:

 

iClicker

 

Participate in a demonstration of how the iClicker classroom student response system works and learn how to use the system in your classes. Faculty find that iClickers can increase engagement, learning, and class participation. Give it a try. Start by attending this short training session.

Whether you are using the Blackboard course web site system or not, you may want to participate in one or more of the training sessions.

Re: [BB] General Purpose Classroom Technology Training

Blackboard Users:

The general purpose classrooms in Memorial, the Learning Center, and the Residential College Classrooms feature some wonderful technology that can be used to enhance teaching. These sessions will demonstrate the features of the rooms, from the lights and telephone system to the writing tablet and video cameras. All teachers using these rooms are encouraged to attend one of the scheduled demonstrations.

The classes will be held:  Wednesday 1/18/12 from 9:05 am – 10:05 am  Memorial Bldg. room 204     

Wednesday 1/18/12 from 2:30 pm – 3:20 pm  Memorial Bldg. room 314

Friday 1/20/12 from 9:05 am – 10:05 am  Memorial Bldg. room 204

[BB] Pre-semester Rush

Bb using Faculty at UM,

Classes start this coming Tuesday. Requests for Blackboard activities are coming in at an incredible rate. We are short staffed at the moment, so your requests my not be handled as quickly as usual. Our student workers don't start until next week and some of our full-time employees are out sick.

If you need something done on Blackboard, please fill out a ticket. You can create a ticket by sending your request in an email to blackboardhelp@miami.edu. You can also get to the ticketing system by going to Blackboard and clicking on the Help link in the banner at the top of every page and then clicking on the "Create Blackboard Help Desk Ticket" link on the next screen that appears.

Please try to refrain from calling or emailing any of us directly, if possible. We need to spend our time working on tickets. Thanks in advance.
